We Install all Types of Decking Materials
For over 30 years, CFC Fences & Decks has been building decks in Utah. We have significant experience installing a variety of wood, composite and other decking materials. The good news for consumers is that innovation has improved the quality and variety of decking materials over the years, and we have always been on the forefront looking for the best products and installation methods.
When we first began installing decks, the only material available was predominantly redwood. Then, about 20 years ago Trex Company introduced the first composite material for decks. The groundbreaking product was made of recycled plastic and wood, and provided the first true long-lasting low-maintenance alternative to wood. Years later, as the popularity of low-maintenance decking products caught on, other companies introduced their versions of composite deck boards. While these composite deck boards also were improvements over the standard wood decking board, composite decking boards in general were still prone to fading and staining. Then, about 10 years ago, the composite decking industry brought to the market a new composite decking board with outer shell or wrap technology which encapsulated the composite with a harder, more durable surface making the boards fade, stain and more scratch resistant. Now our customers can choose from a variety of color options and high-quality, low-maintenance decking products that carry 20-25 year warranties.

What to expect with every deck install
Hidden fasteners protect the cap stock on your deck boards and keep your deck smooth and splinter-free.
Deck Wrap is a tape placed the floor joists that self-seals around screws to prevent water pooling in the holes and weakening the surrounding lumber.
Deck fascia requires specialty screws that prevent the fascia from splitting and falling off. We always use these fascia screws instead of nails or regular screws.
