Adjustment Instructions

After gates have been properly installed minor adjustments may be required. Trex is a composite material that will expand and contract which may cause the latch not to close properly. However, hardware designed specifically for Trex gates allows for easy adjustment. The only tool needed is a crescent wrench large enough to fit over the 11/16” sliver nuts on the hinge bolt that connect the gate side and post side hinge parts.

A. To adjust a sagging gate, or to shift panel in the opening, loosen the hinge nuts with an 11/16” wrench.

B. Loosen or tighten the nuts in the direction shown below.Lift or push panel to slide the hinge.
C. Re-tighten the hinge nuts.
